Case Studies

Case Studies undertaken by IEA Bioenergy Task 38 highlight interesting examples of the application of standard methodology to Bioenergy and Carbon Sequestration projects around the world. These studies estimate the GHG mitigation potential for a range of biomass and bioenergy systems. The goals are:

to compare project GHG balances and fossil reference systems;
to increase experience in implementation of mitigation projects, and;
to make recommendations for optimization of these systems.
