The objective of this conference was to provide a forum for<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>discussing methodological issues;<\/li>\n<li>informing on policy frameworks and<\/li>\n<li>presenting new biomass technologies and systems.<\/li>\n<li>On the final day, participants first took a tour on an active forest site where S\u00c5TAB AB showcased currently used advanced techeqies for\u00a0 harvesting, caollecting, and processing biomass wood fuel and forest residues for the local CHP plant in \u00d6stersund.<\/li>\n<li>Secondly, participants took a tour of one of the newest and largest Biomass CHP plants in the world, located in \u00d6stersund and supplying district heating and electricity. J\u00e4mtkfraft AB in \u00d6stersund kindly introduced participants to the CHP plant and lead a tour of the facilities.
